We are UF's premier student run club for all things artificial intelligence and machine learning . We are a group of students who are passionate about AI and ML and want to share our knowledge with others. We host workshops, guest speakers, and excursions to help students learn more about AI and ML. We are open to all majors and skill levels, so come join us!
About us
Our Structure
Our club is divided into two divisions: GAITOR Applied and GAITOR Education.
GAITOR Applied is our project-based division where students can work on projects with other students and learn more about AI and ML. We have a variety of projects that students can work on, ranging from beginner to advanced. We also have a variety of workshops that students can attend to learn more about AI and ML. To join applied, you must apply and be accepted into the applied team.
Tiny-ML
Understand the basics of machine learning and how to implement it on microcontrollers. This project is a multi-disciplinary project that combines hardware and software.
Function Calling
As a developer making sure that machine learning models are easily accessible for other developers is important. This project aims to make it easier for developers to use machine learning models in their code.
Retireval Augmentation
Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) is a new approach to question answering that combines the strengths of both retrieval-based and generation-based models. This team seeks to explore the capabilities of RAG and apply it to real world problems.
Health Modeling
This project aims to use machine learning to model health data and predict health outcomes. This project is a multi-disciplinary project that combines health and machine learning.
Transformers
Transformers make up the backbone of many state-of-the-art machine learning models. This project aims to explore the capabilities of transformers and seek to provide a more in-depth understanding of transformers.
GAITOR Education is our workshop-based division where students can learn more about AI and ML through workshops and guest speakers. We have a variety of workshops that students can attend to learn more about AI and ML.
ML Mondays
ML Mondays is a weekly workshop series that covers a variety of topics in AI and ML. These workshops are beginner friendly and are open to all majors and skill levels.
Technical Speakers
We also host guest speakers who are experts in the field of AI and ML. These speakers come from a variety of backgrounds and industries.
